|
Matt recommenced making furniture in Bridgetown WA after nearly 2 years travelling. Diversifying slightly from chairs, he started off making several chests and boxes achieved during his first Australian summer of 2002/2003. Shown here: Jarrah Treasure Chest made from recycled fence posts!

The Oak Box Collection | ||

The Oak Box collection came about whilst Matt was Production and Design manager for Sunflower Framing, a picture framing company in the UK. "At one stage we were using old oak fence posts and also importing bundles of jarrah posts from Australia. It was roughly at this point that I decided to start my own company. Something different to frames. And hence I started with boxes operating as Bohemian Woodcraft." The oak boxes were a very successful item and as Matt become more skilled, he moved on to more difficult woodwork although stills enjoy making the odd box if asked.
